1. Updated "ACE on the Road" Event Schedule
ACE Seminar - May 20, 2008 in Laredo, TX - topics for this seminar the current status of ACE, future releases of ACE, and ACE reports (live demo). Those interested in attending this seminar are required to register by May 15, 2008. A seminar flyerand registration form were also posted.

2. CBP Revises "Topic" Sheets on PMS to Update Contact Information
CBP has posted revised versions of two ACE "Topic" sheets on Periodic Monthly Statement - How to Participate in PMS and PMS Overview. These sheets were revised to provide updated contact information for PMS.

3. Updated Guidance on Feb 2nd ACE Update on Filing In-Bond Messages
CBP has posted a revised version of its guidance on the ACE update deployed on February 2, 2008 that enabled electronic in-bond requests filed via ABI message QP to update a shipment record that is reported in a truck ACE e-Manifest with a shipment release type of Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS).

4. CBP Fixes Problem With ACE Cargo Processing
CBP has issued a Truck Manifest CSMS message announcing that ACE processing was restored as of 13:58 EDT on May 1, 2008. 5. CBP Seizes Marijuana in "Empty" Sea Container
CBP has issued a press release announcing that officers working anti-terrorism operations at the Bridge of the Americas commercial cargo lot in El Paso recently discovered 3,343 pounds of marijuana in a sea container. The bales of marijuana were concealed in a false wall compartment of a sea container that the truck driver declared as empty. 6. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
