1. CBP to Begin ADE Telephone Training for Importer, Broker ACE Accounts

(The ADE will be delivered to the account holder's ACE portal account inbox as a compressed file containing the data extract and a text file reflecting the number of rows used in the extract. Depending on the number of rows, the data file can be opened using Microsoft Excel or Access applications. There will be seven extracts available with a 1,000,000-row limit per extract.)

CBP notes that at this time, training is open to Importer and Broker ACE Portal accounts only. Training will be divided into two 30 minutes sessions. Those interested in signing up for a training class should contact Melissa Barg at Melissa.A.Barg@cbp.dhs.gov.

1A training schedule obtained from CBP sources indicates training classes are scheduled for the end of April and May 2008.
