CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of April 10, 2008. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (CBP's weekly TRQ/TPL commodity report, dated 04/10/08, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/.)

3. CSMS Messages on Availability of ACE Portal Reports Dictionaries

CBP has issued CSMS messages announcing that the first versions of the ACE Portal Reports Dictionary for importers, brokers, and carriers have been posted to the CBP Web site. CBP has also posted an ACE Portal Reports Dictionary for participating government agencies to its Web site. 4. CBP Posts Documents for WHTI Land and Sea Final Rule

CBP has posted a variety of documents related to the recently issued final rule to finalize the second phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative by implementing new documentation requirements for U.S. citizens and nonimmigrant citizens of Canada, Bermuda, and Mexico that enter the U.S. from within the Western Hemisphere at sea and land ports of entry, effective June 1, 2009. These documents include the main text of the cost-benefit analysis and its appendices, WHTI land regulatory assessment and its appendices, and a WHTI regulatory assessment. 5. Procedures for Canadian Citizen Waivers of Inadmissibility

CBP has posted a document discussing the reasons why a person may be ineligible to enter the U.S. in general. This document also outlines the procedures for Canadian citizens to use when applying to CBP for a waiver of inadmissibility. 6. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions

The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
