CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted its April 2008 Customs Broker Examination to its Web site. CBP has not yet posted the answer key for this exam. 2. Quarterly Interest Rates for Additional Duties on Reconciliations

CBP has posted to its Web site a list of quarterly interest rates for additional duty payments from 2002 through the second quarter of calendar year 2008. CBP notes that when a reconciliation results in additional monies owed CBP, the payment must be made with interest. According to CBP, refund interest is calculated by CBP, but interest on additional payments is calculated by the reconciliation filer, using the rates provided in CBP's list. 3. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions

The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
