1. CBP Invites MVOCCs, Rail Carriers to Participate in ACE e-Manifest: Rail and Sea Survey
CBP states that the purpose of this survey is to gather "before deployment" data on MVOCC and rail carrier related issues that will be addressed by the following capabilities in the upcoming ACE Release M1: (1) custodial bond liability, (2) place and remove holds at the container level, and (3) resend batch jobs 24x7.
CBP adds that six months after the release of M1, the same questions will be asked again and the data will be compared to show the change in carrier experience.
The survey, which must be completed by March 7, 2008, is available here - http://www.software-metrics.com/M1.html.
