CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings

For some ACE Truck manifest EDI data submitted between approximately 12:25 PM and 1:45 PM EST on February 21, 2008, U.S. Customs and Border Protection states that data was successfully processed and available for truck processing at the border, but no EDI response message was generated. CBP is working to generate the missing response messages.

CBP laboratory commodity brochures. CBP has posted commodity brochures which list the laboratory methods which commercial laboratories are required to have the capability to perform to qualify for CBP accreditation for a particular commodity group. Information, guidelines for U.S./Canada FAST commercial driver renewals. CBP in cooperation with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has begun processing the first 5-year renewals for the U.S./Canada Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Commercial Driver program. As of February 4, 2008, CBP and CBSA had jointly processed 716 renewal requests. In support of the renewal process, CBP has provided guidelines for renewals to minimize any disruption to cross border commerce. Marijuana concealed in shipment of pineapples. CBP has issued a press release announcing that Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents seized over four million dollars in marijuana hidden within a load of pineapples at the Falfurrias checkpoint. The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
