U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of February 4, 2008. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (CBP's weekly TRQ/TPL commodity report, dated 02/04/08, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)

C-TPAT 2007 year in review. CBP has issued a press release providing a 2007 "year in review" for the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. Among the accomplishments listed for calendar year 2007 were: C-TPAT validated 3,011 supply chains - a 27% increase from 2006; of those 3,011 validations, 601 were revalidations - this was the first year that C-TPAT began re-verifying supply chains; Tier III status was granted to 17 companies; and C-TPAT certified 2,601 new members. e-Manifest: Truck fact sheet. FAST driver caught with marijuana in commercial truck. CBP has issued a press release announcing that CBP officers at the Fort Street Cargo Facility discovered 104 pounds of marijuana in the sleeping area of a commercial truck, being driven by a Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program member, making entry to the U.S. (Press release, dated 02/04/08, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/newsroom/news_releases/02042008_3.xml)
3. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
