1. ACE Secure Data Portal to be Unavailable for Six Hours Each Weekend
According to CBP, carriers filing e-Manifests via the Portal must ensure that all manifests are submitted prior to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday for trucks crossing during this maintenance window. CBP will not issue downtime tickets for carriers who have not filed or attempted to file an e-Manifest prior to this timeframe. 2. CBP Experienced Problems with ABI Processing of Entry Summaries
CBP has issued an ABI administrative message stating that it experienced a system difficulty with ABI electronic processing of entry summaries. According to CBP, the affected entry summaries were transmitted from 00:01 EST on January 20, 2008 through 18:10 EST on January 22, 2008.
CBP instructs trade members who had an entry summary transmitted during the specified timeframe, which was certified for cargo processing but has not received a release to delete and re-add the entry summary, again certifying for cargo processing, via ABI, in order to avoid any potential delay in cargo processing.
If upon completion of the deletion and re-add the Automated Commercial System (ACS) responds with the message "cert-selectivity already performed," no further action is necessary for cargo processing. If ACS responds with "cert-release certified via summary," CBP instructs the trade to take appropriate action according to any future ABI output messages for cargo processing.
