U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted to its Web site instructions for retrieving forgotten Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal passwords. CBP notes that a forgotten password can be retrieved with an ACE user ID without having to contact the ACE Help Desk. 2. Instructions on How to Contact CBP for IPR Enforcement Assistance
CBP has posted instructions for those who have legal or policy-related questions about its intellectual property rights (IPR) enforcement and would like to interface with a CBP IPR Branch attorney. CBP notes that its IPR Branch, responsible for developing CBP legal enforcement policy, has established a direct email link through which questions, comments, complaints, suggestions, etc. about such matters may be submitted - hpiprbranch@dhs.gov. CBP further states that the Los Angeles Targeting Analysis Group (TAG) is available to help those seeking to speak with an international trade specialist about general IPR information or assistance. 3. Quarterly Interest Rates for Additional Duties on Reconciliations
CBP has posted to its Web site a list of quarterly interest rates for additional duty payments from 2002 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2008. CBP notes that when a reconciliation results in additional monies owed CBP, the payment must be made with interest. According to CBP, refund interest is calculated by CBP, but interest on additional payments is calculated by the reconciliation filer, using the rates provided in CBP's notice. CBP states that these events provide a comprehensive overview of the ACE e-Manifest and its functionality, as well as address the following: ACE e-Manifest status; CBP rules and regulations; enforcement plans and exemptions; shipment release types including in-bond processing; e-Manifest filing options; and new release Entry Summary, Accounts, and Revenue (ESAR) A1 functionality.

5. CBP Issues CATAIR Amendment 23 (January 2008)
