COAC to Meet on November 16, 2007 in Washington, DC

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice announcing that the next meeting of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Related Homeland Security Functions (COAC)1 will be held on November 16, 2007 in Washington, DC.

According to CBP, the following is a tentative agenda for the November 16th meeting:

  • Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
  • International Trade Data System (ITDS)
  • Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)

  • Intellectual Property Rights
  • World Customs Organization Updates

Deadline for Written Material/Comments, Requests to Have Material Distributed

According to CBP, written material and comments are due by November 9, 2007. Also, requests to have a copy of material distributed to each member of the committee prior to the meeting are due by November 9, 2007. (CBP sources have previously stated that the public (as well as COAC members) can submit comments and materials.)
