CBP Experiencing Problem with TI When Trade Attempts to Reactivate an "Inactive" Importer Number
According to CBP, most of the problems with the TI transaction have been fixed.
CBP states that it is still experiencing a problem when the trade attempts to reactivate an importer number that is in "inactive" status. CBP adds that the fix has been identified and it hopes to move it into production on the night of September 14, 2007.
Under KI, Trade Receiving Query Responses that Bond Has Prematurely Expired
CBP states that as for KI transactions, CBP knows that some of the trade is getting responses to bond queries that indicate the bond has prematurely expired. CBP states that it is working on a fix and in the meantime, the trade should continue to send entry/entry summary transactions if it knows the bond is valid. CBP notes that this problem is not impacting those transactions.
CBP Asks Trade to Report Any Other Problems to Client Reps
CBP is asking the trade to continue to report any other problems to their client representative.
(See ITT's Online Archives or 09/12/07 news, 07091218, for previous BP update on the deployment of A1, which stated that there were intermittent slow responses for KI, TI transactions and that TI transactions were not being accepted when the "A" record was for a service bureau. (These problems may now be fixed.)
See ITT's Online Archives or 09/11/07 news, 07091105, for BP summary announcing that ESAR A1 was deployed on September 9, 2007 and that all parts of the deployment were working, but the ACE Reports tool did not completely transfer successfully. See ITT's Online Archives or 07/26/07 news, 07072605, for BP summary of CBP notice on testing of KI and TI for ACE ESAR A1. (These problems may now be fixed.))
