U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of September 4, 2007. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (CBP's weekly TRQ/TPL commodity report, dated 09/04/07, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)

2. Guidelines for Use of HTS General Note 15 for Agricultural Products

CBP has issued a reminder on the criteria for the proper classification of products exempt from quota under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) General Note 15. CBP is issuing these guidelines due to the apparent misclassification of commercial shipments of agricultural products as "described in general note 15 of the Tariff Schedule and entered pursuant to its provisions." 3. Reminders on TRQ Issues Related to HTS 9904 Agricultural Safeguards

CBP has posted to its Web site a list of reminders for the HTS 9904 agricultural safeguards. The list covers several basic concepts that should be kept in mind when classifying merchandise subject to an over-quota tariff-rate quota duty rate. Instructions for resetting an ACE portal password. CBP has posted instructions for resetting a password through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Secure Data Portal with an ACE user ID. Updated ACE ESAR A1 fact sheet. CBP has posted an updated fact sheet on the initial features for ACE Entry Summary, Accounts, and Revenue (ESAR). The initial features, part of ESAR A1, are scheduled to be deployed in mid-September 2007. Port of Palm Beach, FL unveils three RPMs. CBP has issued a press release announcing that it unveiled three Radiation Portal Monitors (RPMs) at the Port of Palm Beach, FL on August 31, 2007. The RPMs are being deployed throughout Florida and the U.S. with a goal of examining 100% of sea-going cargo containers entering the U.S. by the end of 2008. 5. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions

The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
