(In the beginning of May 2007, CBP issued an ABI administrative message announcing that the new ACE reports tool had been temporarily disabled.
At that time, CBP informed the trade that the old ACE reports tool was completely functional and should be used until the new reports tool became operational again.)
CBP Sources Suggest Using Old Reporting Tool for Certain Reports
According to CBP sources, the new reports tool is running well for importer and broker ACE Portal Accounts. However, CBP sources suggest that the trade run account revenue and transaction reports from the old tool while CBP fine-tunes those types of reports in the new tool.
(CBP previously stated that for five months after the deployment of the new ACE reports tool, both the old and new reports tools would be available while users made the transition. CBP officials at the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) Annual Conference added that the old ACE reports tool may be around for the remainder of 2007, as CBP is still adding functionality to the new reports tool and tweaking the tool until it is "up to speed" with the old reports tool.)
