CBP Administrative Messages, Web Postings, Etc.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that effective May 1, 2007 it implemented changes to its Automated Commercial System internal data system. CBP states that it continues to implement incremental updates to the system in an effort to enhance cargo security while facilitating legitimate trade. CBP also states that as it moves forward, it will provide ongoing updates to the trade community. In the interim, CBP encourages brokers to continue dialogue with the local CBP port office to address questions or concerns.
