CBP Announces that Only Certain HTS Chapters Will be Included on the April 2, 2007 Customs Broker Exam
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted a notice to its Web site announcing that due to the extraordinary circumstances regarding the availability and distribution of the 2007 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), CBP is providing exam applicants with a listing of the chapters from the HTS that will be used in the April 2, 2007 Brokers Exam.

24 HTS Chapters to be Included on the April 2007 Exam
CBP states that the following HTS chapters are included in the April 2007 brokers exam: 25, 33, 39, 44, 48, 49, 52, 61, 64, 65, 68, 69, 70, 73, 83, 84, 85, 87, 90, 94, 96, 97, 98 and 99.
HTS Chapters Can Be Downloaded, Printed from ITC's Web Site
CBP adds that if someone is unable to obtain a physical copy of these chapters, they can download and print them from the International Trade Commission's (ITC's) Web site (http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/).
CBP notes that this notice is only for the April 2007 exam.
