Additional Details of CBP's 7th Annual Trade Symposium to be Held on December 13-15, 2006

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a notice in the Federal Register and posted a document to its Web site regarding the 7th annual Trade Symposium that is to be held on December 13-15, 2006 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.

Symposium Will Focus on What Has Been Done to Secure & Facilitate the Movement of International TradeSince 9/11

CBP states that year's Symposium will focus on what CBP has done in the five years since 9/11 to secure and facilitate the movement of international trade and will include topics such as:

Partnership programs and initiatives

Trade resumption

Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)/International Trade Data System (ITDS)

The Office of Trade

Trade Compliance

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection

On-Line Registration Will Open On or About November 1, 2006, Etc.

CBP states that Symposium registration will open to the public on or about November 1, 2006. CBP encourages interested parties to register early, as space is limited. All registrations must be made online at http://www.cbp.gov/ and be confirmed with payment by credit card only.

CBP states that the cost is $250 per individual and includes all Symposium activities. All requests for cancellations/refunds must be submitted through the form provided and received no later than November 17, 2006.
