Modernized ATS Framework Passes Readiness Review, User Testing Can Begin

According to CBP, development of a modernized Automated Targeting System (ATS) framework passed a test readiness review in August, which means that the design and initial building of the capabilities has been approved and user testing can begin. CBP states that the modernized framework is a build out of a prototype currently in use at the National Targeting Center (NTC).

CBP states that the targeting framework provides a platform from which new data analysis tools and techniques will be made available to CBP users. The upgraded ATS targeting framework will be capable of integrating international cargo and passenger targeting capabilities, which will ultimately modernize the core workflow of the NTC and its services.

Filings of ACE E-Manifest: Truck Jump 50 Percent Since July

CBP states that more than 12,000 electronic manifests (e-Manifests):Truck were filed with CBP in September. With an average of 3,000 filed per week, that represents a fifty percent increase since filings hit the 2,000 per week mark in July 2006.

E-Manifest: Truck to Expand to New Hampshire and Vermont in November

CBP states that the roll out of ACE moves to 15 ports in Vermont and New Hampshire in November. (See ITT's Online Archives or 09/08/06 news, 06090805, for BP summary of "draft" deployment schedule for ACE e-Manifest: Trucks.)

ACE Exchange II Conference to be Held in Tucson, AZ
