CBP has issued an administrative message stating that the Port of Charleston, South Carolina ABI's Office was scheduled to close at 12:00 noon on August 31, 2006 due to [Tropical Storm] Ernesto. It was scheduled to reopen again at 8 a.m. on September 1, 2006. Visa waiver program traveler guide - Travelers visiting the U.S. Among other things, this Traveler Guide states that as of October 26, 2006, any passport issued on or after that date by a Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country must be an e-Passport for VWP travelers to be eligible to enter the U.S. without a visa.
