As a result, no new C-TPAT applications will be accepted until the new C-TPAT Online Web application is available within the next few weeks.
(In July 2005, CBP had announced that it would no longer accept paper C-TPAT membership applications and that applicants must apply for membership via the Online C-TPAT Application Process. See ITT's Online Archives or 07/27/05 news, 05072705, for BP summary.)
Implementation of C-TPAT Security Link Portal expected in May 2006. CBP has previously stated that the C-TPAT Security Link Portal will be available May 2006 and will be announced on CBP's Web site.
Among other things, the C-TPAT Security Link portal will be used to enter new applications and streamline C-TPAT application processing.
CBP has stated that it will be mandatory for all C-TPAT participants to use the C-TPAT Security Link Portal to ensure that all company information and Supply Security Profile information is accurate and complete and C-TPAT participants and certified members will be required to enter, update, and maintain several key fields of information to assist in the verification of program eligibility. This includes the posting of the current C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Profile and business profile information.
