CBP Posts Information On the February 2006 Trade Support Network Meeting
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site various materials related to presentations made at the February 26 - March 1, 2006 meeting of the Trade Support Network (TSN).

(CBP has been meeting with the TSN since May 14, 2001 regarding the development of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and has stated that the TSN has over 150 members of the trade community, including trade associations, importers, brokers, carriers, sureties, and others.)
The following is a summary of the documents from the February 2006 TSN meeting which are available on CBP's Web site.
ACE Project News and Highlights. This presentation discusses the ACE milestones since the September 2005 TSN meeting, ACE milestones for the next year, the schedule for deployment of ACE e-Manifest: Trucks, e-Manifest, expansion of portal support, and the International Trade Data System (ITDS). The presentation concludes with details on the baseline and current outlook for ACE and new ACE capabilities planned prior to A1.
Trade Outreach and Support Strategy. This presentation provides details on CBP's outreach efforts for the trade community, as well as specific outreach activities for ACE Accounts for Entry Summary, Accounts, and Revenue (ESAR) A1. The outreach activities discussed in this presentation include the ACE Took Kit (recently posted to the CBP Web site), an ACE Expo, CBP sponsored seminars, trade sponsored seminars, emails and conference calls, computer/web-based training, etc.
Cargo Transactions and Enforcement (CT&E) Update. This presentation provides information on Multi-Modal Manifest - First Release (M1- Ocean and Rail), including the benefits to the trade.
ESAR: A1 Update. This presentation discusses the benefits of ESAR A1, the different types of ACE ESAR A1 accounts, A1 enhancements to existing ACE features, ESAR A1 information on Cross Account Access, Merge Accounts, and the 5106 Process, and information on Participating Government Agency Involvement.
ESAR: A2 Update. This presentation provides an overview of ESAR A2, information on post release key process changes, post summary corrections, document required processing, Census warning override process, reconciliation (including AD/CV reconciliation), post-release ABI changes, and key finance process changes, such as statements, bills - supplemental duty and miscellaneous, financial summary report, e-Bond, the financial impact of post-summary corrections, and ABI changes.
