U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued its weekly quota commodity report as of December 12, 2005. This report includes tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) on various products such as beef, tuna, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa powder, tobacco, certain JFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, UAFTA and UCFTA TRQs, etc. This report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, CBTPA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA (CFTA) tariff preference levels (TPLs) for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (CBP's weekly quota commodity report, dated 12/12/05, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)

2. CBP Posts Summary of AESTIR Changes for November 15 - December 5, 2005
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted a summary of changes to the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) on its Web site, indicating that Version 1.0 was changed or features were added or deleted on November 15, 2005, November 22, 2005, December 3, 2005, and December 5, 2005 as follows:
AES General Information. On November 15, 2005, CBP deleted certain listings under Letter of Intent (LOI) for the Commodity Module and for the Vessel Transportation Module in the AES General Information section and changed the mailing address for the vessel module letter of intent.
Changes to Commerce Dept/Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) licensetypecodes. The description of License Code 32C in Table A was changed on November 22, 2005 to read "No License Required (NLR), EAR Part 758. Those items which are covered by entries on the Commerce Control List that have a reason for control other than or in addition to Anti-Terrorism (AT)."
Commodity Filing Response Messages. On December 3, 2005, CBP added a new undetermined conditions Response Code 996 NON-STANDARD DATA FOUND.
Export Port Codes. On December 5, 2005, CBP added two new export port codes for Miami, FL to Appendix D.

3. CBP's November 2005 Issue of Modernization Monthly
CBP has posted to its Web site the November 2005 edition of its Modernization Monthly newsletter. According to the newsletter, in November 2005 CBP completed deployment of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to seven ports in Michigan - Windsor Tunnel, Barge Transport, and Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, Port Huron, Marine City, Algonac, and Sault Ste. Marie. Bond processing statistics as of December 12, 2005. CBP has posted to its Web site updated information about the estimated processing times for bond applications which provides details for the November 29, 2005 through December 12, 2005 period. List of companies offering ACE electronic truck manifest data processing services. CBP's Office of Information Technology has posted a December 5, 2005 list of companies/persons who have developed software applications for ACE electronic truck manifest. All companies who are included on CBP's list have been through the CBP testing process. Although CBP has not added any new companies to this list, it has added a new contact for one of the companies listed. CBP's aircraft status declaration.
