CBP Administrative Messages, Web Postings, Etc
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site a notice stating that effective February 9, 2005, all claims for tariff rate quotas (TRQs) under the U.S.-Australia Free Trade Agreement (UAFTA) may be filed via an Automated Broker Interface (ABI) entry, as ABI programming has been completed. CBP states that ports holding non-ABI entries claiming the UAFTA should process these entries through the quota module. (See ITT's Online Archives or 02/10/05 news, 05021005, for BP summary of CBP's administrative message announcing that UAFTA claims could be filed through ABI effective February 9, 2005.)
