CBP explains that "certified" membership is defined as those companies who have already received letters welcoming them into the program. Attendees to the seminar should be individuals directly responsible for the implementation of the C-TPAT program throughout their organization's supply chains.

Seminar to Focus on Improving Supply Chain Security in New Business Environment

According to CBP, this seminar is entitled, "Supply Chain Security in a New Business Environment," and its agenda, which has not yet been finalized, will resemble CBP's first two C-TPAT seminars. (See ITT's Online Archives or 09/05/03 news, 03090510, for BP summary on CBP's second C-TPAT seminar, which was held in San Francisco, CA in October 2003.)

The agenda will focus on the need to improve supply chain security in the new business environment by strengthening the Customs/Trade cooperative partnership.

Joint Customs/Trade presentations, panel discussions and concurrent workshops will be conducted. In addition, the new C-TPAT security criteria, validation process, risk assessment, benefits, how to identify anomalies in the global supply chain, best practices, global terrorism threats, and contraband smuggling trends and concealment methods will also be discussed.

On-Line Registration for Certified C-TPAT Members Begins February 14, 2005

CBP states that registration will be conducted via an on-line registration process beginning on February 14, 2005. Attendees will be selected based on a first come first serve basis and on certified C-TPAT membership status.
