CBP Administrative Messages, Electronic Bulletin Board Notices, Etc

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued an administrative message stating that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has advised that its Operational and Administrative System for Import Support (OASIS) would be down for emergency maintenance on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 for approximately two hours from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. EDT.

1. OASIS System Down 2 Hours for Emergency Maintenance on July 28, 2004

CBP states that in the meantime, individuals may submit either a copy of the Prior Notice (PN) confirmation from the PN System Interface (PNSI), Automated Broker Interface (ABI) PN submission, or a signed statement that PN has been filed. The administrative message states that any of these measures will allow CBP officers to release the shipment for purposes of the Bioterrorism Act.
