DHS Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of CBP (COAC) to Meet on June 18, 2004
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a notice announcing that the next meeting of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (COAC) will be held on June 18, 2004 in Washington, DC. (This committee was previously called the "Treasury Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of the U.S. Customs Service.")

According to DHS, at the June 18, 2004 meeting, COAC is expected to pursue the following agenda (subject to change):
Elimination of Quotas and the Impact on CBP and Trade
Update on the International Trade Data System (ITDS)
Update on Security Subcommittee (Advance Cargo Information, Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT))
Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) Implementation Subcommittee
Agriculture Subcommittee Activities and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Bioterrorism
U.S. Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT) Implementation/ Land Borders
