CBP Posts April 2004 Customs Broker Exam and Answer Key (Changes Expected for October 2004 Exam)
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site the April 2004 Customs broker exam and answer key.

Pass Rate Was 22.2%, No Voided Questions
Sources have stated that the April 2004 Customs broker exam had a 22.2% pass rate, an increase from the approximately 16.5% pass rate for the October 2003 exam.
According to sources, approximately 1,200 persons took the April 2004 Customs broker exam and the April 2004 exam had no "voided" questions.
October 2004 Exam Expected to Include Questions from CATAIR, Customs Directives
In addition to containing questions drawn from the Customs regulations (19 CFR) and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), sources state that the October 2004 Customs broker exam is expected to contain questions drawn from the Customs and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) and selected Customs Directives (CDs)
Sources state that after CBP mails the results of the April 2004 exam to those that took it, CBP will then post to its Web site additional details on the changes that will be made for the October 2004 exam. This Web site notice is expected to include links to the specific CDs that will be addressed in the October 2004 exam, etc.
