of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1160, voted 343-235 to approve the agreement. The factory, the closing of which was announced March 16, had 865 unionized workers. Under the package, Thomson has agreed to provide: (1) one week of straight-time base pay per year of service. (2) continued health, dental and vision coverage for as long as premiums are paid by the worker. (3) life insurance coverage for the first 6 months to employees with 3-10 years of service. Those with 10 or more years get free coverage for the full term of the layoff.
